Lindsay Lohan has landed the role of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor.

After weeks of rumors, the actress has scored the part in the Lifetime Original Movie about the enduring love of Taylor and Richard Burton, whose stormy relationship led them to marry and divorce each other twice.

The casting is a big deal for Lohan, who hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2010.

However, Lifetime is demanding that she fulfill all of herprobation requirements before production begins in March.

She’s set to host the March 3 “Saturday Night Live.

Well, that’s one way to ruin a special moment.

At the Brit Awards Tuesday, an ecstatic Adele was abruptly cut off while making her acceptance speech for Album of the Year.

Just as the singer was gushing about how proud she was to be British, host James Corden interrupted and tried to move things along a little, uh, quicker.

Needless to say, Adele was not pleased, and held up a certain finger in reaction.

After the show, the songstress offered her apologies, saying, “I flipped the bird for the suits at The Brits who cut me off.”

“Sorry if I offended anyone but it was for them, not for the fans,” she added.

In marketing for the sitcom, the network has been using photos of the actor from his most current gig, Two and a Half Men, a move that resulted this week in a cease and desist letter from CBS, that is demanding Sheen and his production company stop illegally profiting from its illustrations or photos.

To all of this, Sheen has a straightforward response: GOOD!

“I”m thrilled,” the actor tells TMZ, in a way only he can. “It insulates me from having to redundantly see myself in the idiotic bowling shirt. Perhaps if Warner Bros. spent as much time and energy focusing on THEIR show, it wouldn’t be such a steaming pile of ass.”

Not such kind words for a Network that paid him $2Million per ephisode… these sound like words of resentment, i wonder how he really feels about the situation.

UPDATE: A bit later in the day, Sheen called TMZ and said of the man who replaced him:

I’m tired of pretending the show doesn’t suck … I’m tired of pretending Ashton doesn’t suck. It’s nothing personal … I just feel bad for him … he’s saddled with such bad writing.

According to a so-called “insider” for the tab, “They spent over five hours together,” during which Rihanna said they “talked about everything under the sun.”
However it wasn’t just talking they were doing behind closed doors, says Star.

“Everyone is buzzing that they hooked up,” records the mag, adding, “When she came out, she had a coy smile and looked slightly disheveled.”

All four judges of “The Voice” – Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton – have agreed upon on for a 3rd season, we can say.

An NBC source informs us the new installment is currently slated to air next fall.

Until now, “The Voice” has been a spring singing competition opposite “American Idol.”
The 3rd season goes up against “The X Factor.”

Lindsay Lohan has far more tax liens against her than she does probation violation charges. Okay, that’s a gross exaggeration … but she does have several.

Which is ridiculous in itself. That’s right, according to the L.A. County Recorder’s Office, Lindsay never paid federal income taxes for 2010: $140,203.30 worth.

This is a different case than the $93,701.57 she owes from 2009. Baffling.

As TMZ previously reported, LiLo never cut Uncle Sam a check for the $93,701.57 she was supposed to pay in federal income taxes for 2009 either.

Lohan held responsible her accountants for the 2009 debacle (of course, never her fault) so it’s probably safe to say they’re on the hook for 2010 also.

On a side note, Lindsay Lohan owed $140,203.30 in just federal taxes in 2010? From what work, precisely? And are her legal fees nearly as high?

Good thing those Lindsay Lohan Playboy pics just netted her just about a million bucks. She could need a good chunk of that just to repay the internal revenue service.

Shakira was vacationing in Cape Town, South Africa on Sunday when she got herself into a bit of a scrap – with a sea lion!!!

The “She Wolf” singer wrote on her Facebook page that she was observing some under water life during an aquatic excursion when a sea lion “jumped out of the water” and “attacked” her.

She says the animal “looked me in the eye, roared in fury and tried to bite me,” and notes,

“I was paralyzed by fear and couldn’t move,” says Shakira, adding, ”I just kept eye contact with it while my brother ‘Super Tony‘ jumped over me and literally saved my life, taking me away from the beast.”

The singer as well as her brother “both got our hands and legs scratched by the rocks while trying to protect ourselves,” but are otherwise OK after the tussle.

She believes the sea lion was set off because it confused with sparkle from her cellphone with that of a fish.

Drake and Common: Fist fight at the Grammys?“Drake And Common Get Into A FIGHT Backstage At The Grammys,” shouts a headline from MediaTakeOut 2 days after the awards show.

According to the webloid’s “reliable” insider, “Drake and Common got into a FIST FIGHT backstage at the Grammys… The two [rappers] bumped into each other backstage. Common was with one of his boy[s], and Drake was with a SQUAD OF GOONS.”

MediaFakeOut’s “insider” adds, “Drake said something and Common said something back… there was a commotion, and I saw Drake PUNCH COMMON IN THE CHEST.”

Is this for real?

Nah i doubt it.

We spoke to a source close to Common, who recognized the two singers talked backstage, but “it was calm, not heated,” and “no punches were ever exchanged. That’s not true.”

Yet another MediaTakeOut tale that’s been easily… bumped out.

Kardashian was in town to attend Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards bash, while Bush was in town… to rekindle his romance with the reality star?

According to those on the scene, Kim and Reggie were all smiles, while posing for photos with fans and creating buzz of a potential reconciliation.

Why might Bush – a seemingly good, charity-driven, normal guy – like to get back together with the reality star?

Whatever the reason’s’ i have a feeling there might be a TV Spin-off. Stay tuned!

While in the wake of Whitney Houston’s death, most celebrities are responding with nothing but condolences and kind words about the iconic singer.

Some, however, are speaking out in more detail, with Celine Dion telling Good Morning America today that the celebrity culture itself bears some responsibility for Whitney’s demise.

Tony Bennett, meanwhile, has brought a different, surprising tact. At Clive Davis’ annual Grammy Awards party, held just hours after Houston passed on, the legendary artist went off on a unique topic.

“First it was Michael Jackson, then Amy Winehouse, now, the magnificent Whitney Houston,” he said. “I’d like every person in this room to campaign to legalize drugs. Let’s legalize drugs like they did in Amsterdam. No one’s hiding or sneaking around corners to get it. They go to a doctor to get it.”

Not sure if that could have saved any of the previously mentioned lives, but it’s always a unique debate.
